Laurie Bawden - Head of School Security Assessments & Audits

Laurie has over 37 years Police and Security Industry experience; he was retained as a consultant by the NSI (National Security Inspectorate) for a period of three years, carrying out audits on manned security companies to demonstrate compliance with BS 7499 & BS 7858. Founder member of the (ASC) Association of Security Consultants.

He has been MD of a large security company comprising of 200+ security personnel and has experience of reviewing security within education and commercial settings (clients have included Schools & Academies as well as The Stock Exchange & Royal Bank of Scotland).

As a trained investigator and auditor his experience in the security sector is considered by his peers as unrivalled.

He has completed a Lead Auditors Course for ISO: 9000:2000 with Axon Bywater Group. Successfully completed the National Open College Network Course Level Two Award in Door Supervision (Cert No: 2228853) and is the holder of The SIA Non-Frontline Close Protection Licence (0802100211682405) also qualified by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
